Allen and Stephanie decided a few months ago that they wanted to get married and actually decided that eloping would be the best fit for them. What a great choice it was! It was a perfect day to say the least; full of smiles, laughter and of course surrounded by their great friends and family.
I met Stephanie a few years ago at a woman’s retreat in Lake Tahoe. We both quickly realized that we are both tender souls with lots of similarities. I just love her to pieces and feel as though we have known each other forever. She contacted me two years ago and told me that she met someone pretty special and that if they get married she wants to book me as her photographer. I was thrilled! Fast forward two years and you have two sweet love birds who jumped right and got hitched just the way they wanted.
They’re wedding day started off perfectly, the sun was shinning and the air was crisp. A perfect January day in Sacramento to say the least!
We meet at their home downtown Sac and just walked right out the front door a few blocks down to the Sacramento County Clerks Office to get Married. We just casually took some photos on our way down and they were greeted with such excitement by their close family and friends once we arrived. They had a simple ceremony and then we walked back to their place so Stephanie could change her shoes and then off to Mikuni’s Midtown to eat lots of sushi which is by far their favorite food. We met some amazing people on the street that congratulated them and they even stopped on the corner of J st. so Allen could take her garter off and yes we had many bystanders observing this and it was so funny.
I am honored that I was able to be apart of their amazing day. May you both love each other for many years to come! Love you BOTH!
