So many years ago when I was in Jr High School I met a wonderful friend named Audrey. I met her through my best friend Alyssa and I can say that the three of us made a pretty good team and may have caused some trouble in Loomis. Now how does this connect me to Adrienne and Beau? Well Adrienne is Audrey’s older sister and she was always the responsible older sister, well at least that is what I can remember. Adrienne and I connected again through facebook and it was so wonderful to have her contact me to be their wedding photographer.
It always amazing me how easy it is to connect through the technology we have in this particular way years later. Since they live in the Bay area our first meeting was over the phone through face time. It was the first time I have face timed and it took a little bit to get used to it. But through this first meeting I felt an instant connection to these two. Beau was building a TV unit in the background while I was talking to Adrienne. They had a few good laughs and I was able to get a great sense of their amazing relationship. It is so beautiful to see how they share such a special love and joy between each other. Beau calls her A-Dizzle….. it is her cute nickname. I can see that Beau has a respect, tenderness and just adores Adrienne, and that puts a huge smile on my face. Adrienne looks at Beau with a trust in her eyes and a fun joyous attitude towards him. They both have a great sense of humor and like to make each other laugh.
When we met for their session we had a great time getting to know each other and I was able to capture some of their feelings for each other on my camera. Beau has an amazing son named Bastian and this little guys has so much personality! During our session we found a little duckling all alone (yes it was pretty sad) and we tried to rescue it and find its mother or at least another duck or goose but we were unsuccessful. We put it back right where we found it but Bastian was able to get close and personal with it. It was the highlight of our session. He was making me laugh with all his funny faces. It is amazing to watch the love the three of them share together and I am so excited to see them become a family of three! The countdown begins for their wedding day in August……. I can’t wait to return to The Foresthouse Lodge in Foresthill CA.
