Lifestyle Family Session {Capturing the beauty of everyday}

I have been thinking a lot lately about my photography business, I’ve been so busy doing what I love I haven’t even thought to stop and think about where I would like to go with my photography in the future.  I finally got some time away in late February with some amazing world wide photographers at PhotoFieldTrip and there I was able to listen to my heart connect again to what makes me passionate.  So what gets me the most passionate?  I love telling stories, capturing REAL life you know the messy not perfectly posed real life.  So this creating can happen when I photograph weddings, families and newborn sessions.

So right when I returned from my trip, this perfect family session opportunity came along to showcase a little side of photography that I would like to start capturing.   In home lifestyle photography sessions.  I want to take real life and capture it with my camera.  I would like to capture the raw not perfectly planned moments for families so that years from now they can look at a photo and actually feel the emotions they felt that season in life and maybe even recall the way things smelt and felt during that time in life.  This might look different for each family but that is what makes each family special and unique.

For this amazing family I was able to come into their home on a Sat early morning to capture a family breakfast which they try to do often on Sat mornings.  They were all in their pj’s, hair wasn’t done and it was heaven!  We did some candid’s out front and even had some snuggle time.  This session was particularly special too because they are moving out of this home they have been in for years.  The brought babies home from the hospital here, they had many gatherings here with family and friends dear to them & there were many memories made in this special home.  They wanted to capture this home, their family in it and all the spaces in it so later they can look back and feel the joy they shared together under this roof.  So we had a great time together and I adore this sweet family, they are just amazing.

I am so lucky that I get to capture moments like these for my clients (who become family to me)
