Vandalia Barn Wedding {Shingle Springs CA}

May weddings are gorgeous when the weather is warm and the flowers are all blooming. But sometimes the weather can be so unpredictable and Northern California has had a wet winter this year. So as we were getting close to Michael and Jessica’s wedding I was getting bit concerned the weather would be wild! We had cooler rainy days leading up to the wedding, but 2 days before the rain went away completely off the forecast. But the day of the wedding the weather changed unexpectedly, the clouds rolled in and it rained right after the first dances. But it didn’t rain hard and everyone kept dancing out on the grass it was just amazing! Best part about the rain & getting some sun was the gorgeous rainbow it produced for us to take a wonderful fun photo at sunset! The wedding day was perfect and everything went so smooth. Michael and Jessica love each other so very much and it was emotional listening to them share vows to one another. Michael loves that Jessica always has a smile on her face, so adventurous and willing to try new things. Jessica loves how he doesn’t take life to seriously, he loves to try hard at everything he does, he is considerate and he challenges her to be her best. These two met through a mutual friend and their first impressions were pretty similar, wow he/she is hot! They were attracted to one another from day 1, but Jessica thought he wasn’t interested. The first time Jessica fell for Michael was when she was trying to get into the hot tub before they started dating, she literally fell into the hot tub right in front of Michael, that was just the beginning of falling for him. Congrats Michael & Jessica!
