Perfection & Goodness are the first two words that come to mind when I describe the Gooch Wedding. It’s was pure goodness to see the natural beauty in HI combined with the love Pat + Kelly’s have for one another. Maui is a special place to them so it made perfect sense to get married there. I woke up on their wedding day with a deep rooted excitement and anticipation. I was able to hang out with all the ladies while they got pampered with mani/pedis/mimosas and Aram captured the guys hiking out to a snorkel spot and then Big Beach while they body surfed. We were able to capture such intimacy and love they have for one another and for all their friends and loved ones. It was rad to see all of them fly all the way out there to be with them and watch them come together in this amazing union. The most amazing thing to me this whole trip that still gives me the chills and gets me a little emotional was something that happened right before the ceremony. The trade winds were blowing so strong and all the vendors were concerned that it would blow the arch down and all the chairs. Too windy for an outdoor wedding off the beach. But 10 min before the wedding the wind stopped and continued to stop until the wedding was over and then it kicked up again pretty strong. I believe that was only a work of God, an answered prayer it was a pretty amazing miracle. I knew Kelly’s mom was looking down from heaven with a huge smile on her face. The day was Perfect! They had their wedding at the Five Palms in Kehei, Maui. The ceremony took place right off the beach on a grass. The sun was so warm and the palms above them were blowing slightly with the light wind. It was beautiful and actually on the hot side once the wind stopped. There were so many smiles and everyone was full of Joy and happiness it was contagious. It was an honor to be there and I am so happy for Pat + Kelly. We love you guys and thanks for flying us out to be there with you and capture your special day.
